The Sash Window Service Ltd has been servicing and repairing sliding sash windows for over ten years. Whilst many people are happy to use our professional services some people have asked if we can give them some tips on how to service their own windows. In response to those that want to d.i.y we have put together a number of small material kits along with some tools and safety gear so you can have all the bits you need ready before your start. We have also added a unique sash window 'pri-bar' tool which we have had specially developed for our carpenters and joiners - these days our staff would not attempt a sash window repair without one.   Contents of basic diy kit

The kits come in a number of sizes with variations in beading widths or the amount of add weight for the number of windows you want to service. We have also made a DVD that demonstrates how we service windows for details click here.
Most d.i.y.ers will have a good manual or can find the written instructions on the web such as those listed here, however we believe that the DVD is the most comprehensive, practical instruction available so if like us, you don’t just want to get the window to work, you want it working to the best of it's ability the DVD is what you need.
