1lb conicle lead sash add weights are used to adjust the counter balance in sash windows. Lead weights have the advantage in that they provide maximum weight increase for minimum increase in the height of the weight stack.  These uniqely concicle weights have the added advantage in that the shape allows the weights to pass each other more easily, resisting the tendency for weights stacks to piggy back and jam in the boxes.
