Draught reduction systems

Installing a draught replaces the parting and staff bead with brush inlaid beading to seal ther perimeter and routs a druaght excluding brush in the upper and meeting rails of the window to improve contact at these points. The cost of the systems (which includes a full service) is in the region of £190 - £230* plus vat depending on size of the window.

Please note that if you install a draught reduction system you will only pay 5% VAT.

Draught reduction systems have additional benefits, such as reducing noise ingress as sound travels around the edges of a sash.

The sash window service believes that it is better to do something to improve a window's thermal efficiency and internal comfort than do nothing at all and can still recommend the basic service which will significantly improve thermal efficiency even though it is not as effective as full draught reduction systems.
